Artist Biography

Laura Stöckl is a German-Luxembourgish Artist, currently based in Amsterdam.
She has an illustrious background in high-end fashion design, having worked for brands like Louis Vuitton, Karl Lagerfeld, Matthew Williamson, and Liebeskind Berlin.

Having sold her art since over 12 years,in recent years,
Laura has pivoted towards expressing and focusing on her own artistic vision.
Her unique style, a fusion of fashion and art, focuses on colour, shape, and
the conceptual reinvention of materials. As a synesthete, Laura perceives music and moments through color, adding a vibrant
dimension to her artwork.
Laura explores ways to express her synesthesia particularly in her abstract color explorations through color studies on paper as well as large scale gradient pieces on 3D edge canvas.
In Laura’s more large scale pop culture/ collage style pieces, she tells her own story of navigating the context of fashion and art as well as personal life events. Her obsession with detail drives to a deeper story telling combined of personal notes, WhatsApp conversation screenshots and newspaper articles that are carefully curated for each piece.

’20 Laura introduced the signature Löwie, derived from the German word ‘lioness’,
which has been her nickname since childhood. Symbolizing her inner artist breaking free,
Löwie has become a distinctive and empowering hallmark of Laura’s creative identity.
