Keya Tama X Shelflife Artist Series & Solo Exhibition

Brutal. MGMT is proud to present a special collaboration between Keya Tama and Shelflife, marking the next chapter of Shelflife’s renowned Artist Series. Born in South Africa and now based in New York, Keya has carved out a distinct visual language that blends ancient iconography with modern folklore. His work, characterized by bold, geometric forms and symbolic storytelling, draws from a deep well of cultural and historical references. This exhibition at The Barracks showcases a collection of A4 ink originals, limited edition prints, and one-of-a-kind woven tapestries, each reflecting Keya’s signature fusion of past and future narratives. Running from 20 March – 20 April, this show is a rare opportunity to experience Keya Tama’s world up close, where every piece offers a glimpse into his evolving artistic journey.
