Welcome to the Kleinsky’s at Brutal. exhibition. For close to a decade, Shani Judes curated the iconic art wall at Kleinsky’s Delicatessen, a much-loved New York–style deli in Sea Point known for its bagels, sandwiches, and lively community atmosphere. Over the years, the wall became a rotating platform for contemporary artists, bringing bold, playful, and thought-provoking works into an everyday public space.

That chapter has now come to an end. Kleinsky’s at Brutal. marks the closing of this era with a final exhibition showcasing works from the artists who were part of the Kleinsky’s wall over the years – celebrating a unique intersection of food, community and accessible contemporary art.
